Tom & Tank meet Wendy in Bakersfield and bring her to Morro Strand State Beach to share the adventure.
Just inside the mouth of Morro bay are a couple of places otters like to hang around, One of which is just off of the Embarcadero at the "T" pier. At this time of the year, moms were still taking care of their pups, which had, by this time, grown almost as big as their mom.
We've chosen to come to Morro Bay to celebrate our anniversary...our thirty first...amazing how time flies when you have someone wonderful to share it with.
We choose Stax Wine Bar & Bistro in Morro Bay for our special dinner. The food was amazing! We share an incredible crostini (grilled filet mignon seasoned with black truffle, portabello mushroom, blue cheese, arugula, olive tapenade, and pesto), a surprisingly delicious panini (proscuitto, fig spread, brie, and arugula), and a proscuitto flatbread with portabello mushrooms, onions, arugula, and sheep's milk cheese. We will definitely go back!
At this time of year, the campground is not crowded, and the area is beautiful. We had originally planned to spend four nights here, but Wendy enjoyed it so much, we ended up staying 10 days.
