Jasper National Park, Alberta Canada

On Saturday morning August 5th, we head north from the Icefields towards the town of Jasper to explore and take in some more sites. The whole section (about 230km) of Hwy 93 that goes north from the Trans Canadian Hwy (by Lake Louise) up to Jasper is referred to as the Icefields Parkway.

I thought the mountains is this area were very striking because they looked like they were all picked up, turned at an angle and shoved back into the earth.

Our first stop is just up the road at Tangle falls.

We then Visit Sunwapta falls

Got lucky and saw some mountain goats at a place called "Goats and Glaciers". They come down from the mountains here because this area has a large salt lick.

We then head to Athabasca falls, a particularly angry section of river that has taken multiple people that got to close to the falls and slipped and fell in.

Time to head back "home" for the day.
